What to Expect

Worship centred on God's Word

Our worship

Our worship is reverent and ordered according to God's Word. In keeping with the URCNA Church Order, the preaching of the Word has the central place, together with confession of sin, praise and thanksgiving in song and prayer, and gifts of gratitude.

The service

Our services begin with God calling His people to worship and conclude with His blessing. We respond in prayer and praise, hear God's law, confess our sins and hear the promise of forgiveness in Christ, pray together, give our offerings, hear Scripture read and preached, and respond to His Word in prayer and song.

Coming With Children

Children are welcome in worship

Children are welcome and encouraged to worship with their families. For infants and young children who are not yet able to remain through the service, a supervised nursery is available. Parents sign children in and out, and pagers are available so they can be contacted if needed.

Between the Services

Time for fellowship

Following the morning service, visitors are welcome to remain for refreshments and fellowship. On most Sundays, a number of members and families remain at the church between services for an informal potluck lunch and fellowship, and many families are also very happy to host visitors in their homes.

If you are visiting and plan to remain in the area between services, please feel free to ask one of us when you arrive. We’d be glad to have you share in the fellowship.

The Lord's Day

Gathered to hear, receive, pray, praise, and give

The Heidelberg Catechism describes the day of rest as a day to attend the assembly of God's people, learn what God's Word teaches, participate in the sacraments, pray publicly, and bring Christian offerings for the poor.
